JASTEC is promoting sustainability through software development based on the following basic policies.

Basic Sustainability Policies

We believe that a good relationship with our employees, the IT industry, and society is essential for the long-term survival of the company. Accordingly, we have established the JASTEC Charter of Corporate Behavior and have implemented sustainable value and market creation initiatives based on the values and ethics that are demanded.
Regarding sustainability, we have established basic sustainability policies based on this Charter and will contribute to the prosperity of the global environment and society through our core business.

Relationship with Employees

We believe that turnkey contracting without manpower leasing, that is, making engineers the bearers of intellectual production as opposed to mere manpower, is suitable for the execution of software development, a task that requires creativity.
We will aim to be a company that grows with its employees by respecting the personality and individuality of each employee and by executing projects proactively.

Relationship with Clients and Partners

We will continue to support the information society by delivering high-quality, correctly manufactured products through our value chain of first-rate customers and our partner companies that support these customers alongside us.
Consequently, we will continue strengthening our relationships with customers and partners who share our sustainability policies.

Relationship with Shareholders, Investors, and Society

We will strive to build trust by disclosing information in a timely and appropriate manner to a wide range of stakeholders, including shareholders, investors, local communities, and government agencies; discovering social issues through two-way communication, including dialogues and exchanges; and resolving these issues through our core business.

Relationship with the Global Environment

We believe that preserving the global environment, particularly the fight against global warming, cannot be successful by simply enhancing society as it exists today. In addition to adhering to environmental regulations, we will collaborate with numerous companies to develop software-driven innovations that shift society in a more environmentally friendly direction.

Governance

We will improve the effectiveness and quality of our corporate governance by working to ensure management transparency and the timely and appropriate disclosure of information, as well as by instituting a system that includes sustainability as one of the criteria for management decisions.

Sustainability Promotion Framework

We have long been committed to environmental measures, societal contributions, and the protection of human rights, as well as to the disclosure of such information.
The Sustainability Office was established in December 2021 (52nd fiscal year) within the Budget Planning Committee, which is comprised of the heads of each division, to coordinate these individual activities from the perspective of sustainability.
We will strive to fulfill our greater societal responsibility by incorporating sustainability-related activities into the budget of our medium- to long-term business plan and by selecting issues, setting targets, and monitoring progress steadily under the responsibility of our management.
